Federal Help for Federated States of Micronesia Planning
The Federated States of Micronesia received $126,298 in phase one funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to use for pandemic planning activities. Micronesia received additional funds of $170,699 from the revised phase two of Health and Human Services’ local and state allocations. A supplemental $147,113 was awarded to help strengthen Micronesia's capacity to respond to a pandemic influenza outbreak. These grants are based on a formula adjusted for population.

State Activities
On April 24, 2006, Guam Governor Felix Camacho hosted a summit on pandemic response and emergency planning for all the Pacific jurisdictions. The President of the Federated of Micronesia participated in the summit hosted by Guam.
